Emerald Energy is focused on maximising engineering solutions for a sustainable future. Their aim is to provide sustainable, carbon-neutral solutions to the ever-expanding offshore energy market in Ireland, by using local resources and untapped skillsets. The main aim of the website is to display the vast range of services they provide while directing the website visitors to their contact information.
The process.
The first step was to have a consultation with Emerald Energy and discover the core beliefs and mission of the company. The next step was to find out what the main objective of the website was. In Emerald Energy’s case, the priority was to display the services they provide in a short and concise manner and push website visitors to the Contact Form at the bottom of the website.
The word that kept coming up throughout the initial consultation was simple. They wanted imagery that represented the industry they were in and conveyed the services they offered. The text was kept to a minimum, used only to describe the company and services provided. As such, a One Page website was more than sufficient.
The logo was supplied by the client, which dictated the colour, font and style of the website. Once this was supplied, our team began designing the website. The first draft was developed and sent to the client for approval. Once feedback has been discussed, amendments were made until the client was happy.
As a website is an extremely powerful marketing tool, the client recognised the need to make regular updates to the imagery, text and general style of the website if needed. The client opted into the Website Care Plan, giving them the freedom to request changes to the website when they please. This gives them flexibility and total freedom to update their website by just sending an email.

What is the process of getting my website built?
We will have an initial discovery call where we will collect information about your website requirements. From there, we will get to work building your site. A first draft of the homepage will be completed and sent to you for review. Once feedback and amendments have been finalised, we will complete the rest of the website to ensure you are happy with the overall direction of the website.
Will I be able to edit the site myself or do you lock me out?
All our sites are built using WordPress. You will be in good company as 40% of the entire Internet is built using WordPress. We will provide you full access to the entire admin area to allow you to edit and update your website going forward. We also offer a website care plan where we will make any edits for you.
Where is my website hosted?
Right here in Ireland! We host all our customer sites on our own servers located in Dublin. We use the very latest Dell Rack servers, running on SSD drives, and fully optimised for WordPress. You will have the best home for your website, that is fully backed up and secured. We are part of SmartHost.ie, one of Ireland’s leading hosting companies.
Will my site work on mobile?
Yes of course. All of our sites are fully responsive, meaning the content will adjust to the size of the screen you are viewing it on. Mobile, Tablet, or PC. We have you covered!
How long have you been doing this?
Our web developers have a combined 50 years of experience in managing and building websites! You are in good hands and we will use this experience to create you a website you will love.
How many products can I have in my e-commerce addon?
We do not limit the number of products you can have in your e-commerce addon. You can upload as many as you need (or we can quote for product loading).
How do I get paid with the e-commerce addon?
We recommend you apply for a Stripe merchant account. You can use your own merchant account if you already have one. We can discuss the various option available to you as part of our discovery process.
What are the costs?
A website is quoted based on the specific wants and needs of each project. Our team design and develop custom websites made uniquely for you. Our free discovery call will run through exactly what you require and will allow us to quote accurately for your project, based on that initial assessment. Our typical pricing range is anywhere between €1000 – €5000, depending on the size and scale of the project.
